Quote from Shadowww :You didn't explained that's totally wrong at all.

Try getting non-GCF game (like GTA IV, for example) and modifying it's files (in SteamApps\common\game name). You will see they will be replaced with original ones when you start the game.

I played GTA4 on my PS3 so I can´t try it by myself, but I googled and found this: http://forums.steampowered.com ... s/showthread.php?t=801265

Seems like it is possible to mod your gta4 even if you use Steam..

Quote from Shadowww :1st: C-S and DoD on Steam are not mods. Those are games. They have own GCF's.
2nd: I am not talking about HL2 mods, for which Valve does provides official SDK.

You got it totally wrong I was trying to explain to you that Valve (the guys who developed and own Steam) are positive about modding so they won´t forbid modification for Games released on there platform. Counterstrike and Dod were just examples for you to better understand. They both were mods when they were released and done by some modders and now they are both a part of Valve.

So if some developers don´t want that there games are modable that has nothing to do with Steam and valve.

You said this: "Steam doesn't supports modding games, (if you modify some file Steam automatically redownloads it), so putting SLRR on Steam would be quite useless."

So I was just explaining to you that what you have written is totally wrong.

Steam is made by the Valve guys! Just think of Counterstrike or Day of Defeat that were both mods for there Half Life and now you can buy them officially at Steam. These guys have absolutly nothing against moding.

So of course you can mod steam games I would even go that far and say VALVE stands for MODS!

HL2 Mod every HL2 fan should try. :--> http://www.cinematicmod.com/cm_10.php

A guy is writing that he is looking forward to get his PS3 and danowat starts about how he isn´t missing much. There is nothing to discuss about that´s just spamming/flaming he even self admitted it with his: "Yeah, poor Boris, never flamed or spammed once has he " so there is no point of you trying to tell me it´s otherwise.

Just focus again on the game and let the other shittalking go..

Quote from BlueFlame :Give it up Boris, we know you love GT5 so much.

Actually it was danowat who was spamming/flaming not Boris, so blame him.. or even better focus on GT5 Time trial and forget the spamming/flaming shit.

When Montenegro left Serbia the Milosevic regime had already lost its power so good for us all there was no war. That what you are talking about is I think Bosnia there happened cruel things murder, torture and expulsion..

Quote from Gills4life :The thing that I don't understand is that if it automatically switches it off, how are you able to drive with the TC on with a wheel?

When you plug in the wheel TC gets set to off in the stock 370z. You can for example start the race with wheel TC = off, then just plug the wheel out and TC=on, plug the wheel back in TC=off and all that without leaving the race.

Quote from Michael Denham :When I was using the G25 TC was disabled.... you could wheelspin and donut and whatever you like without it kicking in. It still said it was on 7 in the options, but by using G25 it was definitely off for me.

Exactly. I tried it again by myself and there is definitely a difference between playing with gamepad and wheel. Just look on the right bar that shows the throttle, at first I drive with Gamepad and after driving backwards in the video I plugged the wheel in and do some more testing with the wheel. I am the whole time with full throttle with gamepad and with wheel but with the gamepad you see on the top of the bar the red color when tc kicks in.

For the video shifting was set to automatic

I never said that you can change it ingame, I said it looks like the game itself checks if you use a wheel or gamepad and then turns tc off or on.

Quote from Gills4life :Nope. I use a wheel and the TC is stuck on at 7 for the stock 370z.

Quote from dougie-lampkin :Nope, just plugged in my G25, traction control still stuck at 7

Quote from Matrixi :TC is stuck on here with G25 too, I don't think you can disable it with the street car in the demo no matter which controller you have.

Under settings in the Game it´s always grey and on 7! You can´t change it!

But the game checks if you use a Wheel or a Gamepad, and if you use a Wheel under the settings you still see TC on 7 but it is off you can check it on the official ranking --> http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/ ... king/?board=2&area=61

With Gamepad:

Quote from jibber :Wrong. I use a wheel and cannot turn off TC with the stock nissan, only with the tuned version.

EDIT: So tell me how to turn it off then.

you can´t turn it off, the game does it.

You use wheel --> TC = off
You use gamepad --> TC = on

As said you can see the settings if you are under the first 250 of your country on the website, or ingame.

Quote from dougie-lampkin :You can see "Tuned" IN the picture *facepalm*

I gave you a link and explained you what to do to check for yourself but still you are not able to do it?

Ok step by step for you:

1. you follow the Link I gave you on the other post.

2. you press with the left mouse button on "tuned car"

3. you chose with the left mouse button the "normal car"

4. you klick with the left mouse button on one of the driver

Should be easy enough so even you can do it.

Quote from Vain :I'm all open for criticism and I also think there's something not perfect about GT5, but do you realize that in the GT5 TimeTrial the traction control is activated?

Vain

TC is with the stock Nissan only active if you use a gamepad, if you play with a wheel TC is OFF. You can check it on the Ranking list.

Why is everybody so upset with the fact that the car is spinning so fast? spinning is nice.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avlWYj3ja1M

I like it.

---------------------------------

ok serious now from the beginning even in the GT5prologue there was this issue, there is only a small margin within you are under control and can go fast with gt5 Time Trial they made it a little wider but still if you are out of this margin you are slow or flying of the track. I kinda got used to it with gt5prologue, so I actually don´t really bother about it being still in the game. I never Played GTR1, but I heard here and there that GTR1 of Simbin had the same problem so they made it easier for GTR2. Would be nice if PD fix this too for GT5, but the driving is still great as long as you are within the mentioned margin, so I am definitely going to buy this when its out.

I loved GT5 Prologue and I love the GT5 Time Trial

I know the laptimes are nothing special so don´t spam me.

Quote from spanks :Well I never played any of those other console games with aids on, so I'm not sure what I would be waiting for.

Also TC is forced on for the untuned car and it feels absurd.

And lastly, the last 6 months of development will not bring any serious changes to the core of the game...unless they decide to delay another year and a half.

Obviously you need this aids otherwise its just to difficult for you..

Have you played the GT5prologue? There you can switch from default physics (GT4 like) to "pro physics" and I think this will also be in the final product so if you are ok with the gt4 physics you can enjoy the default physics and if that doesn´t help use some aids. What is the problem if its to difficult for you without just turn them on.

Quote from spanks :I would be more excited to go back and load up GT3 and GT4 than play that demo again.

And console games are never exclusively designed to be played with a wheel. Forza and the previous GT games have been extremely controllable with a...controller? lol anyways. This game feels like there is a total disconnect to what buttons I push and what happens on screen. A sim should not be confusing...rather pretty damn predictable.

I went into this wanting to like it...just label me as a shit slinger. I have countless hours logged on old GT games. I think they're seriously losing sight of how a console sim should drive. Megahint it should be very comfortable and fulfilling to drive with a controller.

you don´t get it, this is NOT GT5 this is just the GT5 TimeTrial, so there are no aids that you can activate or setups which you can tune, its a product just designed for the competition!

In GT5 you will have also an more arcadish physic and some aids with which its pretty easy to play. And the game IS predictable, but its just the simpart in this TimeTrial so don´t worry in the full game they will add the arcade part and you could again enjoy it.
